The Carrying On Project
For generations, the practice of babywearing has made caring for children easier while helping them develop or maintain life-long bonds with caregivers. The goal of the Carrying On Project is to help get carriers to the families of our military so that they may better obtain secure attachments with their children, something that deployment and injuries will often interrupt. We seek to assist both the service members and the families left behind in “Carrying On” while both home and away, to make something that is difficult for the whole family a little bit easier.

Coalition to Salute America's Heroes
AMERICA’S LITTLE HELPERS - The mission of “America’s Little Helpers,” is to provide the children of wounded and disabled veterans with resources, support, and outlets to help them cope and thrive while living with the effects of their parents mental and physical war wounds. Our goal is to provide these brave kids with outlets such as in-person and online educational support, virtual and in-person art therapy, day camps and multi-day retreats. Other types of therapy are equine, music and recreation. The strongest form of support for these kids is creating opportunities for them to bond and form relationships with other children of disabled veterans.
The General's Kids
If you are the parent or guardian of a child living at a military hospital you may sign up for the sponsorship program of The General's Kids. We’ll connect you with an individual, family, or school class that wants to make your child feel appreciated for their service to our country. Please fill out the registration form and we will be contacting you within the next 3 business days. When a sponsor signs up the priority will go on a first come first serve basis. We will try to place families with more than one child with sponsors who want to reach out to the whole family that way all the children receive the same amount and frequency of cards. When available we’ll also pair school classes with children of the same age. That way it makes a good connection for both parties.
The General's Kids also offers a financial program. "If your family moved to a new area and your child would like to participate in local activities like sports, music and dance lessons, etc…we would want to help cover the costs." Grants for sports, fine arts, academic tutoring
Our Military Kids
Our Military Kids supports the children of wounded service members/veterans by awarding grants that pay for participation in sports, fine arts, and academic tutoring programs. Activities help children cope with stress and anxiety in a positive way while parents recover from severe service-related injuries.
The Brendan Looney Foundation
The Brendan Looney Foundation supports military families through scholarships - both High School Senior scholarships and Kids to Camp scholarships. The Kids to Camp scholarships are for deployed, wounded warriors and Gold Star families. The Senior Scholarships include active military.
